Warranty & Jewellery Care

Effective Date: 1 August 2026
Last Updated: 1 August 2026

This Warranty and Jewellery Care Policy applies to jewellery purchased through jewelscollection.shop.

Ashmit is the legal business operating under the online brand Jewels Collection.

By purchasing and using our jewellery, you acknowledge that fashion and imitation jewellery requires proper handling, use and storage.

1. Fashion and Imitation Jewellery

Unless specifically stated otherwise in the applicable product description, products sold by Jewels Collection are fashion or imitation jewellery.

They are not solid gold, solid silver, natural diamond, precious gemstone or other precious jewellery unless the product page clearly states otherwise.

Product materials may include:

  • Copper
  • Brass
  • Mixed metal or alloy
  • Gold-coloured plating
  • Artificial stones
  • Synthetic stones
  • Imitation pearls
  • Beads
  • Other decorative materials

The exact material, plating, finish and components applicable to a product will be stated in its product description wherever available.

Customers should not compare fashion jewellery with real gold or other precious jewellery because the materials, production methods, durability, care requirements and prices are different.

2. No Fixed Warranty Period

Jewels Collection does not provide a voluntary fixed-period warranty or guarantee for:

  • Gold-coloured plating
  • Colour retention
  • Polish
  • Surface finish
  • Artificial stones
  • Pearls
  • Beads
  • Chains
  • Clasps
  • Hooks
  • Hanging elements
  • Normal wear and tear

The lifespan and appearance of fashion jewellery depend on many factors, including:

  • Frequency of use
  • Individual skin chemistry
  • Sweat and moisture
  • Local climate and humidity
  • Contact with perfume or deodorant
  • Contact with cosmetics or chemicals
  • Storage conditions
  • Handling
  • Cleaning method
  • General care and maintenance

Because each customer wears, handles and stores jewellery differently, a fixed colour-retention or plating-life period cannot be guaranteed.

3. Customer Rights for Delivery Defects

The absence of a voluntary plating or colour-retention warranty does not remove any customer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

A customer may submit an eligible claim where a product was delivered:

  • In a damaged condition
  • With a genuine manufacturing defect
  • As an incorrect product
  • With an ordered item or component missing

Visible delivery-related complaints must be reported within 24 hours of delivery with the continuous parcel-opening video and other evidence required under our Return, Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Submitting a complaint does not automatically approve a replacement, Wallet Credit or refund. Every claim remains subject to verification.

4. What Is Not Considered a Manufacturing Defect

The following will not normally be treated as manufacturing defects:

  • Gradual fading of plating or polish
  • Tarnishing caused by air, humidity or moisture
  • Colour change caused by sweat or skin chemistry
  • Damage caused by water, perfume or cosmetics
  • Damage caused by improper handling
  • Accidental breakage
  • Damage caused by bending, pulling or pressure
  • Scratches caused during use or storage
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by improper cleaning
  • Damage caused by unauthorised repair or alteration
  • Loss of stones, beads or components after improper use
  • Minor handmade or traditional manufacturing variations
  • Slight differences between manufacturing batches
  • Reasonable colour differences caused by photography or screen settings

Each claim will be reviewed according to the product condition, evidence provided and applicable law.

5. Understanding Fashion Jewellery Quality

Jewels Collection offers fashion jewellery in different designs, materials, finishes and price ranges.

Depending on the individual product, differences may occur in:

  • Base metal
  • Craftsmanship
  • Plating
  • Stone quality
  • Pearl or bead quality
  • Weight
  • Design detail
  • Surface finish
  • Product construction
  • Decorative work

Customers should evaluate each product according to its:

  • Product description
  • Material information
  • Photographs
  • Measurements
  • Design
  • Finish
  • Included components
  • Price category

A higher price may reflect differences in craftsmanship, design complexity, materials, plating, stones, finish or other product features. However, price alone should not be understood as a guarantee of a particular product lifespan.

The product description should be reviewed before ordering.

6. Product Appearance and Minor Variations

Product colours and finishes may appear slightly different because of:

  • Photography lighting
  • Studio or natural lighting
  • Screen brightness
  • Mobile or computer display settings
  • Individual monitor calibration
  • Image compression
  • Camera angle
  • Manufacturing batch differences
  • Handmade or hand-finished elements

Minor variations in colour, stone shade, polish, texture, engraving, bead placement, component alignment, weight or measurement may occur.

Reasonable variations that do not materially affect the product’s use are not normally considered defects.

7. Last On, First Off Rule

Jewellery should be the last item worn and the first item removed.

Wear jewellery only after applying:

  • Makeup
  • Perfume
  • Deodorant
  • Hairspray
  • Lotion
  • Moisturiser
  • Sunscreen
  • Other cosmetics

Allow cosmetics and sprays to dry before wearing jewellery.

Remove jewellery before changing clothes or going to bed. This helps prevent snagging, bending, pulling and accidental breakage.

8. Keep Jewellery Away from Chemicals

Avoid direct contact between jewellery and:

  • Perfume
  • Deodorant
  • Hairspray
  • Lotion
  • Sanitiser
  • Makeup
  • Cleaning products
  • Detergents
  • Bleach
  • Acids
  • Other chemicals

Chemical exposure can affect plating, polish, stones, pearls, beads, adhesives and metal components.

Do not spray perfume or deodorant directly onto jewellery.

9. Avoid Water, Sweat and Moisture

Remove jewellery before:

  • Bathing
  • Swimming
  • Washing
  • Exercising
  • Sleeping
  • Household cleaning
  • Entering a steam room or sauna
  • Performing activities involving excessive sweat or moisture

Avoid prolonged exposure to:

  • Water
  • Sweat
  • Rain
  • Humidity
  • Steam
  • Damp storage conditions

If jewellery becomes wet, gently dry it immediately using a clean, soft and dry cloth.

Do not use a hair dryer or strong heat to dry jewellery.

10. Wipe Jewellery After Every Use

After wearing the jewellery:

  1. Gently wipe it with a clean, dry and soft cloth.
  2. Remove visible sweat, moisture, dust, cosmetics and skin oil.
  3. Allow it to become completely dry.
  4. Store it separately in suitable packaging.

Do not use abrasive cloths, brushes or rough materials.

Unless specifically recommended for the product, do not use:

  • Jewellery-cleaning liquids
  • Toothpaste
  • Soap
  • Detergent
  • Chemical polish
  • Alcohol
  • Sanitiser
  • Baking soda
  • Other home-cleaning mixtures

These products may damage the plating, stones, pearls, beads or finish.

11. Proper Storage

Store every jewellery item separately.

Suitable storage may include:

  • A clean plastic zip-lock pouch
  • A soft jewellery pouch
  • An airtight jewellery box
  • The original jewellery box or packaging

Before storage, ensure that the jewellery is clean and completely dry.

Keep jewellery away from:

  • Direct sunlight
  • Excessive heat
  • Moisture
  • Humidity
  • Chemicals
  • Dust
  • Bathrooms or other damp locations

Avoid storing multiple jewellery pieces together because friction may cause:

  • Scratches
  • Tangling
  • Stone damage
  • Plating wear
  • Broken chains
  • Damage to delicate hanging elements

Where possible, store necklaces flat or separately to prevent tangling and pulling.

12. Handle with Care

Fashion jewellery may contain delicate elements.

Handle the jewellery carefully and avoid:

  • Dropping it
  • Throwing it
  • Bending it
  • Pulling chains
  • Pulling pearl or bead strands
  • Applying excessive pressure
  • Forcing clasps or hooks
  • Twisting earrings
  • Pressing stones
  • Carrying jewellery loosely in a handbag
  • Placing heavy objects over it

Hold jewellery by its stronger structural areas rather than by stones, pearls, beads or hanging elements.

13. Earrings and Pierced Jewellery

Earrings should be inserted and removed gently.

Do not force:

  • Earring posts
  • Hooks
  • Screw backs
  • Push backs
  • Ear chains
  • Ear cuffs
  • Other fastening components

Keep pierced jewellery clean and dry.

For hygiene and product-freshness reasons, earrings or other pierced jewellery that has been worn or tried cannot normally be returned, except where an eligible defect existed at delivery and the claim complies with our Return, Refund and Cancellation Policy.

14. Necklaces, Chains and Beaded Jewellery

To protect necklaces, chains and bead strands:

  • Open the clasp before wearing or removing the item
  • Do not pull the jewellery over the head unless designed for that purpose
  • Avoid pulling or stretching the chain
  • Store chains separately to avoid knots
  • Keep heavy pendants properly supported
  • Do not hang delicate bead or pearl strands for long periods
  • Avoid carrying necklaces in loose or tangled storage

Improper pulling or storage may weaken links, threads, connectors and clasps.

15. Bangles, Bracelets and Adjustable Jewellery

Do not force a bangle or bracelet over the hand if the size is unsuitable.

Adjustable jewellery should be adjusted slowly and only as necessary.

Repeated bending, opening or closing may weaken or break the metal.

Damage caused by force, repeated bending or incorrect sizing is not normally considered a manufacturing defect.

Customers should review available measurements before ordering.

16. Stones, Pearls and Beads

Stones, pearls and beads may be attached using settings, wire, thread, adhesive or other jewellery-making methods.

Avoid:

  • Scratching them
  • Pressing them
  • Pulling them
  • Soaking them
  • Exposing them to chemicals
  • Cleaning them using a hard brush
  • Applying heat
  • Storing heavy items over them

If a stone, pearl or bead appears loose, stop wearing the jewellery and contact Customer Support for guidance.

Do not attempt to repair the item using household glue or another unapproved method.

17. Travel and Transportation

When carrying jewellery during travel:

  • Use a rigid jewellery box where possible
  • Store each piece separately
  • Secure chains and hanging elements
  • Avoid placing heavy items over the jewellery
  • Keep jewellery away from liquids and cosmetics
  • Do not carry delicate jewellery loose inside a bag

Jewellery damaged during personal transportation, careless packing or improper storage is not normally covered as a delivery defect.

18. Repairs and Alterations

Jewels Collection does not guarantee repair, replating, resizing or alteration services unless specifically confirmed in writing.

Do not arrange an outside repair, resizing, polishing, replating or alteration before an eligible complaint has been reviewed.

A product altered or repaired by the customer or another person may no longer qualify for a replacement, Wallet Credit or refund under the applicable policy.

19. Product-Specific Instructions

Some products may require special care because of their design, material or construction.

Where product-specific care instructions are provided:

  • On the product page
  • With the product
  • On the packaging
  • Through Customer Support

those instructions should be followed together with this general policy.

Where product-specific instructions differ from this general policy, the product-specific instructions will apply.
